Biography

 

David Robertson is a senior executive with extensive experience leading strategic communications for world-class brands. This includes marketing communications leadership across digital and social media, advertising, public relations, content marketing, and corporate social responsibility.

 

David’s professional career includes brand management and general management experience from Procter & Gamble, Celestial Seasonings, and Hanes brands. He led brand strategy and consumer communications for several leading brands, including Hanes, Champion, Playtex, Bali and Maidenform. David began his marketing career at Procter & Gamble, where he developed and executed growth strategies for the Downy and Bounce fabric conditioner brands. Following P&G, David led new product strategy at Celestial Seasonings, the leader in the specialty tea market. At Hanes brands, he led brand marketing and consumer communications for Hanes, the largest apparel brand in the US, and developed the first global marketing strategy for Champion.

 

David is passionate about providing adult learners the skills needed to advance their careers. He is Academic Director and Professor of Practice for the Master of Communications at SPS. He is also Visiting Assistant Professor in the Communication Department at Wake Forest University College of Arts & Sciences. His academic background also includes 6 years as an Adjunct Professor in the Wake Forest University School of Business.
