Biography

 

Dr. Kellie Griggs is a passionate women’s health nurse, innovative educator, and energetic advocate with a professional portfolio that expands across executive leadership, education, professional development, clinical, and academia. She has contributed to the areas of servant leadership, scholarship, innovative teaching, and national service. She is passionate mentor and champion who enjoys tapping into unique strengths and talents to grow and an empower others.

Her body of work involves improving outcomes across women’s health and empowering professional advocacy through interprofessional collaboration and awareness. This includes inspiring stakeholders to serve as advocates using best practices, understanding social determinants of health, peer support, and development of policy. Her scholarly work has been disseminated on a national and international level through peer reviewed publications, podium presentations, grants, and educational workshops. She recently completed a 3-year term as a Director on the AWHONN National Board of Directors, has served as a representative for National Public Policy, and was a fellow in the 2018 AWHONN Emerging Leaders Fellow program, and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine CTSI Leadership Academy. Furthermore, she serves as a community engagement liaison for marginalized women, is a mentor, and loves connecting people to meaningful service opportunities.
