Gharib also serves as the communications advisor for the company’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Steering Committee and Sustainability Governance Board. Before Wolters Kluwer, Gharib spent five years at Citigroup in several marketing leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Global Digital Marketing, where she worked on the Double Cash and Premier credit cards launch campaigns. She also led the consumer bank’s first Global Digital Marketing Center of Excellence. Gharib led transformation programs to successfully build the business’s digital marketing and measurement capabilities, accelerate the upskilling of talent, drive global adoption of best practices, and global MarTech standardization resulting in incremental revenue growth. Prior to joining Citigroup, Gharib spent five years at Microsoft in digital media roles partnering with Fortune 100 brands, including Bank of America, Proctor & Gamble, Kraft, Macy’s, Delta Airlines, and Lowe’s and their agencies. Prior to Citigroup, Gharib spent over a decade leading marketing and communications for a professional services firm. For over a decade, alongside her corporate career, Gharib has been coaching and developing the next generation of marketing and communications leaders. She serves as an adjunct professor at Baruch College and Wake Forest University and has taught executive education courses in Singapore and Taiwan. Gharib also plays an active role volunteering on the National Advertising Review Board and the New York Women In Communications Board of Directors. Gharib has been honored by many organizations for her work in marketing and communications, including SheRunsIt & Working Mother Magazine’s Advertising Working Mother of the Year Award, the Journal of Financial Marketing Financial Marketing Award, and Direct Marketing Association’s Rising Star Award. Gharib earned a Master of Business Administration in Marketing Management from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business in New York. She also studied International Marketing at Thunderbird School of Global Management in Zurich and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Media Studies from Hunter College in New York.
