While summer mode is in full swing – vacations, days by the pool, shuffling kids from camp to camp, it’s also time to start looking ahead to the next semester at Wake Forest School of Professional Studies.

There is a lot to look forward to this fall, including the launch of two new programs – Master of Public Administration and Master of Enterprise Risk Management, a new makeover for the

the Career Resource Hub in the Pearl Cafe, Wake360 (October 25th – 26th in Charlotte – more information coming soon!), and more.

To prepare for the new semester, Wake Forest SPS students will need to register for fall courses. To make the process as easy as possible, here are five things you need to know about registration:

1. Fall Registration Dates

Fall registration opened June 11th. The last day to register for fall courses is August 26th.

Some other important dates around the fall semester:

  • Friday, August 2nd – Orientation course for incoming fall students opens (we recommend completing this by August 26th).
  • Monday, September 2nd – Fall 1 courses begin
  • Wednesday, October 23 – Fall 1 ends
  • Monday, October 28th – Fall 2 begins
  • Wednesday, December 18 – Fall 2 ends

Check out the Wake Forest SPS 2024-2025 Academic Calendar for more information regarding university holidays, breaks, and deadlines for adding/dropping courses.

If you need to take a break from coursework for the semester or one mini-session, please contact your Student Success Manager.

2. Meet the New System

In March of this year, Wake Forest University transitioned all student personal and academic information to Workday Student. For fall registration, Wake Forest SPS must register through Workday. This new system is a one-stop shop with user-friendly access to not only course registration but also academic history, enrollment verifications, and unofficial transcripts.

Training documents and videos can be found on the Workday Student Support Site or OneWFU, the Wake Forest University comprehensive digital shop. .

3. How to Access Workday to Register

Students can access Workday Student to begin the registration process through workday.wfu.edu, or One.WFU.edu.

Here is a guide to help you navigate this new process (you must be logged into your WFU.edu email account to access it).

4. Complete Onboarding Tasks FIRST

After logging into Workday Student, check your Workday Inbox.

There are several onboarding tasks that you will need to complete before you are permitted to register for classes. You will not be able to proceed with fall registration until these are done.

5. How to Set Up Payment

After July 5th, you will be able to pay bills or set up payment plans via Workday.

Resources for this are available through Project WakeDay, including:

You will need to be logged into your WFU.edu email account to access these.

Access and affordability is a core value of the Wake Forest SPS experience. For information about financial aid options, frequently asked questions, and cost of attendance information, please visit our Office of Financial Aid.

If you have any questions or concerns about fall registration, please contact your Student Success Manager.
