Biography

Daniel Sanford is a Senior Strategy Leader, Influencer, and Innovator in the Financial Services Industry with extensive experience leading large cross functional teams and strategic initiatives at top financial institutions. Daniel is currently leading digital payment initiatives at Wells Fargo in the Consumer and Small Business Bank. In this role, Daniel collaborates with executives across Wells Fargo, top tier universities and many other groups within the entrepreneurship and startup communities to turn disruptive ideas into strategic opportunities.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Daniel was a senior management consultant, at KPMG and North Highland, providing strategic, product and operational consulting services to many Top 20 Global Financial Institutions. Daniel was also part of the group that formed the not for profit, Carolina Fintech Hub, to advance Fintech in the Carolinas and currently services on their Innovation Operating Committee.

Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University in 2007 and currently lives in Charlotte, NC. He is an active leader in his local community and enjoys early morning workouts as a member of F3 Nation.
