Biography

 

 Dr. Simon Cleveland is an innovative senior executive with over 20 years of experience in managing a portfolio of programs, software and systems projects for NASA, Department of Education, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Accenture, Avanade (joint venture of Microsoft and Accenture), Department of Homeland Security, General Dynamics, and AOL. Dr. Cleveland is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed publications on the topics of project management, organizational leadership and technology, and is a three-time recipient of the prestigious Harold Kerzner Scholarship awarded by the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation. He serves as the associate editor of the International Journal of Information Technology Project Management, the International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment, the International Journal of Information and Communication Technology Education and the International Journal of Smart Education and Urban Society. In 2017, Dr. Cleveland was presented with the Tropaia Award for outstanding faculty at Georgetown University and in 2021 he was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award at Johns Hopkins University.
